Network Server and Domain Upgrade

Displaytech, Inc was ready to scrap its exceptionally old server hardware and software—both of which were no longer covered by any manufacturer support or warranty. Additionally, the company wanted to take advantage of features available in newer equipment and software that would enable better network management. Displaytech needed a company that had extensive expertise in project management and server upgrades; it asked Mile High Networks to take on the multifaceted project.

Project Management

PSI (Policy Studies Inc.) purchased an organization located in the Chicago area and needed to move the operation to Florida. The company’s 300-agent call center operated 5 days a week, 10 hours a day—and interrupting that service was not an option; the network had to be moved during non-operating hours, with no system downtime occurring during operating hours. Due to time constraints and the unavailability of in-house computer/IT staff, PCI sought a consultant to perform all facets of the relocation—from managing the project to actually performing the installation. Mile High Networks accepted the complex and challenging project.

Security and Stability Audit

Displaytech, Inc. experienced some significant changes in personnel and, consequently, was unsure of the stability and security of its network and servers. The company wanted an impartial third party to audit the network and report any concerns, issues, and potential problems that could jeopardize business operations. The findings would help Displaytech design a plan for addressing the issues that were based on ranking each issue in terms of its impact on the business.

Audit and Documentation

PSI (Policy Studies Inc.) purchased an organization but received no formal documentation or other information about the company’s computer network. Management quickly realized that, to sucessfully run this new subsidiary, they needed to know what hardware components were installed on the network and understand the network’s configuration and stability

PSI staff members were not available to perform such a detailed audit, so PSI needed a vendor that was both capable and willing to perform the audit. Mile High Networks was hired to tackle the job.
